Home Workshops Healing Centre Biography Links Contact Info	A Christian Healing Centre The Board of A Healing Ministry is working on plans to build a Christian Healing Centre where people could visit for up to three weeks at a time for the purpose of healing. We are a 501 (c) 3 non profit organization. A Christian Healing Centre will give attention to the role of the spirit in the healing process by drawing upon the practices and teachings of the Christian Healing Ministry. In addition to offering various healing modalities, the Centre would have a chapel, with twice weekly healing services (anointing, laying-on-of-hands) for clients and the public. All services would be optional (not required). The Healing Centre will be a place where attention is given to the whole person-bodymind and spirit. The centre will not be a health spa, health care center or a retreat center, although it will incorporate aspects of each. We will also work closely with medical practitioners. There are a number of "healing centers" in America which bring together various complimentary (or alternative) therapies. Harvard and several other teaching hospitals integrate alternative medicine with standard medical care. Harvard also offers courses in Bodymind medicine. Some of these centers include various "spiritual" practices, ranging from yoga to stress-reduction meditation. Unlike the healing centers currently operating in America which are designed more as spas, or new-age retreats, this centre will use the rites of the Christian Healing Ministry-the laying on of hands, healing prayer and anointing, along with the Holy Eucharist.
